thank you's:
Becky: While our friendship is no longer as close as it once was, I still have to thank you for being there when I first started writing “More Than This” and then scrapped the idea only to start it up again a few months later. You have read almost everything I have ever written and loved it all, even my first stories that were devoid of any real plot. You mean a lot to me, and I know that you will always be by my side through life, no matter how far away I go.
Justine: Thank you for being there to listen to my ideas, to read the tidbits I write to make a chapter. Thank you for flying down to Texas for a weekend and putting up with one friend in particular who we didn’t want around nearly as much as she was. Thank you for the MMC tapes and the MMC story you wrote. You’re a wonderful person, and I don’t deserve the friendship you bring to my life in any way; but I am thankful to have it anyways.
Phyllis: It seems like only yesterday that we started corresponding by e-mail. Our love for writing brought us together, and it has sustained a wonderful friendship. You’re such a caring person, and I treasure the talks we have had as well as all the trinkets you have sent my way. I listen to the CD you made me whenever I need a pick me up and love the charm you sent me, just because it made you think of me. You always know what to say when I am in the midst of one of my moods, and I am thankful to have you around.
Amory: I still think that you are a better writer than I could ever be, and we will continue to argue that fact until the end of time. You are such a bright person and so filled with drive that it amazes me, makes me want to reach all the goals I have set in front of me. I am thankful for the talks we’ve had and how willing you are to be there for me through one of the hardest decisions of my life. You’re a blessing in my life.
Diana: My best friend. Thank you for the tears and the laughter and the cards and the bowl of candy. Thank you for being my sugar daddy, for allowing me to be your trophy wife. Our impromptu trips to Galveston in the miata will forever remain one of my favorite memories as will our prom night. You inspire me to be a better person.
Brittany: Thank you for the talks on the floor of the dorms and for sharing your life story with me so willingly. Watching you and your father interact inspired Anna’s relationship with her father, and I am so glad that I shared a bathroom with you through the first year of college.
Eduardo: You know what you mean to me; thank you.
